Hi people, I’m an OR nursing professional thinking about switching to a surgical technologist role, and I’m trying to learn about the main variations between the CSFA and CST certification exams. I’ve looked at some comparison charts from the credentialing bodies and read a few discussion threads, but I’m still unsure on how the content and difficulty really compare, and what kinds of career paths each certification might open up. For example, which exam tends to be more difficult? Also, from a real-world standpoint, how do employers view CSFA vs CST credentials when it comes to moving up or salary potential? If anyone has real experience or insights, especially regarding how these certifications transformed your career path, it would be extremely valuable.
